Black Angus Steakhouse - Arrowhead Ratings and Reviews
Very accommodating manager
Upon leaving the restaurant, I mentioned quietly to the staff at the front door that we would have appreciated, when asked by our server if we would like our steak with a mushroom or onion topper, if it had been clear that those items were not gratis additions (like ketchup or A1 sauce), but incurred a fee. The manager, who overheard my suggestion, sprang into action and immediately rectified the situation by re-doing our bill and striking each topper fee. I had actually been prepared to pay the additional fees and to chalk it up to experience; the importance attached by the manager to customer satisfaction was truly impressive. A big shout-out to Black Angus for its concern to please its customers!
Very pleasurable experience and relaxed evening
Part of the experience of dining is to have friendly waiters assisting and serving you to make choices. This is done in a relaxed not rushed environment. Having someone pleasurable and willing to make you happy.
Don't bother going !!
It was my wife's 73rd birhday, and I thought I'd treat her to a nice Meal---WRONG! i ordered the prime rib w/fire grilled prawns. The prime rib was less than 1/2" thick and was like cardboard It was ordered 'medium' and that was the way it came. The only problem was that if there was no aus jeu or creamy horseradish sauce, it would havebeen completel tasteless. The prawns were like none other that i have had, and were like RUBBER! They couldn' t ruin the salad or baked potato, so they were OK. I didn't complain because I didn't want to ruin my wife,s birthday. The waitress was very competant and charming. No problem there. Pricewise they were a complete RIPOFF. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to my worst enemy !!!
Good food, service, and ability t
We have eaten here several times over the past few years and have always had a good meal, reasonably priced with good service. We especially enjoy this restaurant with friends since the music is kept lower than most restaurants and we can actually have a conversation (many of our group have hearing aids).
The wait person was terrible. We never saw her.
The wait person took our order and brought our food but we never saw her when we needed her. We had to stop other wait staff to get more tea, etc.

Went for our daughters 34th birthday. Great food - service was a little slow but the waiter was trying. He just had a ton of tables.

Service was speedy food was great and on a holiday everything was exceptional.
We really enjoyed our Easter meal at Black Angus. Our server was VERY attentive and the food was delicious!
Tiffany was our server on Easter Sunday. Restaurant was pretty busy but Tiffany was always very attentive to our requests. Never seemed rushed to get us done. We had a wonderful meal, everyone was pleased. Would return again.
Black Angus is a professionally-run operation, with beautiful decor and excellent, friendly service. My husband and I had the lobster on Easter Sunday. It was good, but not outstanding, in that it did not seem 100% fresh and may have been a tad overdone, i.e., a little tough. Could be that it was simply a very mature lobster! I prefer garlic butter with lobster, and didn't get the taste or smell of even a hint of garlic. The broccoli was mouth-wateringly flavorful and done beautifully, not overcooked; and the baked potato was excellent. All in all, the whole experience was an enjoyable treat for us! Thank you!
great for birthdays
Had a friend from IN visiting and it was his birthday. They never disappoint here. Shara was efficient as always.
Great food and wonderful service, we love eating here
Fantastic Dining Experience
We always enjoy a night out that starts with dinner at Black Angus. Our server went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was exceptional and cooked to perfection. We left the restaurant feeling energized and so happy that we decided to go out dancing!
delightful evening out.
We had a grate dinner.the only thing i questioned was the size of the prawns. They looked like 26 to 30 count shrimp.
This was my first time back to Black Angus in Years. My wife had the Prime Rib and the cook on it was a perfect Mid-Rare and she said it was really good. I had the Salmon which was very tasty. Our side dishes were equally good and the service was 5 stars. I did not come here expecting it to be a Mastro's or Ruth's Chris (which its not). We will for sure return and make it a regular spot to eat at if they keep delivering the food that we received on this visit.
Black angus has become a tradition for us
Great place to take family and friends, price is adecuatr
Excellent, as Always!
The service is always good but this visit it was superb. We will be back soon.
Great dinner. Love coming here. Best steak in town.
We won't be coming back.
The food was absolutely terrible, we ordered the camp fire meal for two. We had our newborn baby with us and became quite frustrated that it took over 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our food. We had shrimp with green beans and broccoli and my husband ordered prime rib with a loaded potato. The shrimp tasted like a burnt grill with no other seasonings. The vegetables were so over-cooked that it turned to mush as soon as my fork hit it. My husbands prime rib was extremely tough and lacked any flavor at all. The appetizer which was zucchini was dripping with oil and could not be eaten at all. We are not one to complain but I was very surprised that the waitress did not say anything to us when she threw most of our meals away. However we did take a slice of carrot cake home with us which was very good.
Very family friendly
Awesome atmosphere great customer service and great food
The food is always good the service was a little slow but it was packed. There were no specials for that night only. I understand why but I still don't like it.
Everything was great! From being seated right away, server was wonderful, food was delicious! Thank you all for making our dinner so special.
Very surprised at how good the food was. Have been to a lot of expensive gourmet restaurants. Black angus ranks up there with them but for a lot lower price . Shrimp cocktail , prime rib, loaded baked potato an roasted brown butter brustle sprouts . Romantic dinner with my girl best every .
Jd and Diana Special Valentine Dinner
I love the ambiance and the food. The booths are private and quiet. Our waitress was excellent. She did everything perfectly from start to finish. This restaurant is one of my favorites by far!!!❤️
Finally Ken and Lisa got to go out ALONE
The server was Kayly (I'm not sure I spelled right) she was smiling and knew the menu well. I spent many years in the restaurant business and we are harder to please when we go out to eat! Service was great! Food of course was great; we had ribeyes. Hot food was hot and cold food was cold. Silverware was clean and the fountain drinks were refilled. Great time!
Good but noisy!
After making our reservation days ahead of time, we were sat by the kitchen. VERY noisy! Not able to carry on conversation with the other couple. Both our Anniversary's.

The food was very good, but the service was excellent. Although she was very busy or server never fought about us. Are glasses never went empty, made sure we had everything we wanted and didn't bring out the main course till we had finished our appetizers(my pet peeve). She even started to make sure our stake were cooked to our satisfaction.

Going to the Black Angus is always enjoyable. The staff is extremely friendly: from the warm greeting as you enter the lobby to the cheery Waiters & waitresses. The food is always excellent. It's our go-to place for a dinner out.
Basic Midlevel Steakhouse
Black Angus with their high backed private booths have been in busy for several decades. They are rather unremarkable though the food generally tastes good. As an additional incentive, they offer a 15% discount for AAA menbers.Their steaks are very thin, about 1/2 inch, so if you are looking for a thick juicy steak go somewhere else. That said, the steaks are cooked to order and come with salad and two sides which add extra value. You may also purchase a tablespoon of seasoned butter for an additional dollar for added flavor. There was chaos at the hostess counter when arrived, but we were soon ushered to our table. Our waiter, Travis was top notch. Their signature molasses bread arrived hot and fresh. The wine list is very basic, though they have added some quality to the list. Be warned, red wine comes to the table very warm, think room temperature of the kitchen. Travis brought a chill tub which really didn't do much until he added ice water. The menu special was a 18 oz bone in Ribeye for $36.00. Travis told us the extra $8.00 bought us 3 oz of bone and about 14 oz of steak compared to the regular Ribeye (16oz for $28.00) My wife and I both ordered the 16oz Ribeye. Mine, unfortunately, contained 2/3 meat and 1/3 fat with was completely inedible. My wife's had a 1 in. edge of fat but was otherwise quite delicious. Between the two steaks, and additional bread, we had enough food. The manager, who seemed to check on every table around us, walked by, saw a large pile of fat sitting on my plate, and decided to avoid us. Even Travis, cleared the waste without comment, his only misstep all evening. The meal costs about 1/2 of Fleming's or Morton's, but one does seem to get what one pays for. For thicker, better quality steaks and wine served at the correct temperature, I will likely not be returning.
Black Angus Steakhouse - Glendale, AZ
The dinner experience was great from the time we arrived for dinner until the time we left. Our reservation time was right on schedule. We were seated at a nice private table as had been asked for at the time reservations were made. The waitress was wonderful, friendly and attentive to our needs. The steaks were fantastic and the ambiance was great. The price of the meal was comparable to other steakhouses in the area. The flowers I ordered were placed on the table just prior to our arrival. We were seated in a nice quiet booth where we could chat freely without interference from other dinner guests. I would recommend the Black Angus Steakhouse to all my friends. The evening was perfect and we enjoyed it immensely. Of course my date made the evening even greater.
Not reccomended at all
Waited almost 2 hours for food, which was not great. Got appetizer 45-1 hour after ordering. Server was great but will not being going back ever. Food horrible for the price, was not even super busy and are whole experience lasted almost 3 hours on a school night, 6:15 reservation and got home at 9:15. and we live like 5 minutes away. Horrible experience
It took the waiter 5 min to notice we were at our table. Forgot our drink. Forgot our drink order. 10 min to ask for our meal, never asked me for a refill. Waiter gave us our salads before our appetizer plus our children's food. Once we recieved our appetizer, it was about 15 min after our salads. Once we got our meals it was about 1.5 hours that we've spent at Black Angus. We got our dessert for free. The steaks we ate were not to our perfection, it seemed like the cooks rushed it.
We went here on our way to the Glitter and Glow Celebration in Glendale. We got there an Hour early because traffic was not as bad as we thought so we sat in the bar and had a few drinks before dinner Heather was a great bartender. The Black Angus Restaurant is very good and did not disappoint us. Three of us had the small Filet and they where very good and cooked to order. the other person had the pork chop and was very happy with that also. I had the roasted Brussels Sprouts and I loved them. I can't remember what everyone else had for their vegetable. my husband had the Caesar Salad which was very good. we all had baked potatoes. This is a very good restaurant and we will probably come back if not this trip then the next time we are in AZ.
Black Angus Never Disappoints
We had our first date in 1984 at Black Angus in Colorado Springs and we have been customers ever since. I know some around the country have closed and that's a shame. We lived in Vancouver, Washington until 2014 and we ate there quite often. We were very pleased when we retired here in Sun City to see a Black Angus. We are NEVER disappointed! Food and service always good.
We were out to dinner with friends and right from the time of our on line reservation, we had a very pleasant experience. The waitress was very friendly, the food was excellent, the manager was especially accommodating. We would definitely recommend this restaurant to our friends. Thank you
Food was so good. Service perfect, John S. our server was so nice and professional! He was helpful and kind. We will be back for sure!!
We always have a great experience at Black Angus. When we go out to eat, it is our go to location. My husband is handicapped and on an electric scooter, and the front end staff is always friendly and accomodating when we enter the door. The food is always wonderful and the wait staff supurb. I recommend it often to others.
