Everything was to perfection! First off, Carson made sure we got a patio seat for the birthday girl! Our server, Josh, was so kind. The Chilean sea bass, the filet mignon and the elk were all cooked to perfection! We really enjoyed the crab cakes with the black beans. The coffee was delicious and paired nicely with the cinnamon roll bread pudding topped with vainilla ice cream and garnished with mint and strawberry slices. Lastly, the birthday dessert was the cherry on top-coconut flan! Keep up the nice work Bernardin’s! We will return for more special celebrations! 🎂🎊🙏🏻

Food is great. What I didn’t know is if you have 5 at your table they charge you 20 percent gratuity without telling you. I had another 15 percent then discovered when I got home what had happen. I emailed the restaurant and after a couple of days received a call and text and fixed the issue. We have been 3 times and the food has been excellent.

My wife and I celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary at this lovely restaurant! I had made arrangements with the owner to take delivery of my bouquet of flowers from my florist’s delivery person. He graciously received the flowers then had our table set up with the bouquet at his best location near the fireplace. He assigned his best waiter Josh to attend to us. Needless to say to say,” our dinner was romantic, delicious and I got tons of brownie points!” And some sweet kisses besides!! By the way, the food was out of this world!

Bernardin's is one of the few remaining fine dining restaurants in Winston-Salem. It's menu is populated largely with well-prepared fine dining standards. It does break out and update its menu with very welcome specials. It stands out with its striking plating and, usually, with the service, as it did for us this past Thursday. Comparisons being odious, nonetheless, it is decidedly not a steakhouse masquerading as fine dining.

We went for my husband’s birthday and it was very disappointing. The online menu had two entrees we really wanted and they are not on the menu at the restaurant. We both ordered fried oyster appetizers, which were minuscule with some topping that did nothing for the oysters. I ordered roast chicken but that ended up being grocery store style chicken cutlets. It was supposed to be served with root vegetables. That was 1/4 of a carrot and one (hard as a rock) Brussels sprout. My husband ordered elk, which was served cool rather than hot. We passed on dessert after that and one of my chicken cutlets went home for dog food. NOT a way to celebrate a birthday.

Terrific food in a really neat setting. The service was top-notch. My only complaint was that the Old Fashioned was too sweet. I would definitely recommend the restaurant and will return in the future!

We came to the restaurant at the time of reservation and immediately seated. The waiter was attentive and friendly. Giving us good suggestions on food and wine. The dinner came out quickly and was worth every penny. Thank you for making our 25th anniversary such a memorable occasion. I ordered the ribeye steak and it melted in my mouth. My wife's salmon was equally perfect.
