We sat upstairs next to the very loud piano/drummer ensemble. Our party of 6 couldn't have a conversation. I explained to the host that we were there for an important client dinner for my husband and we were thankfully moved to the other side of the room. Although music was still loud, we could have a conversation. I appreciate how quickly the host resolved the issue. The food was good. I especially loved the scallop appetizer. The waitress was so nice and attentive but the food came out a bit slow between 1st and 2nd course. Overall, it was a nice dinner.
A most enjoyable evening
The Inn went out of its way to make our anniversary dinner memorable from decorative Happy Anniversary place cards to complementary champagne. Jenn, our server, was most knowledgeable & attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners... each of the us four had a different entree; all thought theirs the best. We will return. Perhaps try brunch/lunch. The only negative is street parking.
The shrimp tempura app was a disappointment...more like heavy fish and chips batter but the crab cakes were delicious. My associate had the sea bass and also was complimentary about his meal. I will definitely go back to try some other entrees.
Pefect Spot in Lancaster
Belvedere Inn was perfect in every way. The service was exceptional and food was unique and delicious. A gem in Lancaster not to be missed.
Return to Belvedere
My friend had heard about this restaurant but had never been. She was very pleasantly surprised by the beautiful historic setting and the food was excellent. However, we were sitting in a room with two rather large tables each serving men only. they were EXTREMELY loud and boisterous. Too bad. It did put a bit of a downer on our experience. The waiter was appropriately attentive. We will definitely return.
We had reservations and were seated immediately in a cozy room with ambiance perfectly suited for our Anniversary celebration dinner. We both ordered salads. Mine was the grilled Ceasar - Excellent! Hers was the beet salad which got rave reviews. Both of our fillets were cooked perfectly and melted in the mouth along with wonderful whipped potatoes and vegetables. The dinner was topped off with a great key lime cheesecake and Service that was timely without feeling rushed. Great evening!

Nice dinner spot with friends
I enjoyed eating at the Belvedere. It was cool atmosphere, lots of wood, and warmth. The menu was unique and had a lot of great options. Not a ton of vegetarian offerings on the dinner menu. The bread app was great! The wine list was nice and they had some nice tasty cocktails! I would eat here again. I was in Lancaster for a conference and took some industry friends. We all seemed to enjoy it and we all walked from the Marriott on 25 S Queen Street. Great Meal!

We enjoyed the fondue appetizer and surf and turf. The lobster was small for the price but the fillet was cooked to a perfect medium rare. The service was exceptional. Had a lovely dinner.
A Sure Thing
Always a best bet for Lancaster. Inventive and consistently delicious food. Stellar cocktails from Jamie and crew. You can NEVER have a bad meal here. It is literally impossible! Run don't walk to the Belvedere.

Although they have a limited lunch menu all of the items are tasty. We especially enjoyed the grilled caesar salad. Great with chicken or salmon on top. Terrific friendly attentive service. Excellent for a business lunch.
Our Anniversary Location
We have gone to Belvedere's for our anniversary for the past few years. We love the food and atmosphere and the service is excellent.

Enjoyed everything about this dining experience. Especially loved the grilled caesar salad. Best creme brule!
Food, drinks and service were all very good. We visited for the first time on Easter Sunday & my wife & I both had the Filet Mignon, which was excellent. My only minor criticism is that I thought the place was a bit too dark during the day.
Great Lancaster restaurant!
We always enjoy our total dining experience at the Belvedere! Great food, staff, and ambiance. A Lancaster gem!
This place is a must when in Lancaster. From the moment we walked in everything was perfect. We were nicely greeted and promptly seated. Our waiter was excellent, I think his name was David (cool ponytail). This place is historic without being stuffy. Everybody is really hip but still extremely professional. My husband had the slow cooked short ribs, they fell of the bone. I had the strip steak and it was a lot of food and cooked just right. Of course you have to have the grilled Caesar. In retrospect, the Caesar with some protein added would have been enough for dinner for me as they are generous portions. This place will not break the bank. A great value for fine dining. Would definitely be back. Thanks for a great experience while in Lancaster.
This was a great place to take my wife for her birthday. She thoroughly enjoyed herself and we both enjoyed the food.
Beautiful restaurant, great food
We ate here last year and had an amazing time so came back this year when we were back in Lancaster and it did not disappoint. Beautiful ambiance, friendly people and the food was perfect. Recommend it to all.
The Belvedere is my go-to restaurant to celebrate special events. We went with friends to celebrate a retirement. The food was excellent - we each chose a different entree and no one was disappointed. The service was very good and I always enjoy the ambience. A wonderful evening!

I work very close to the Belvedere and love walking there for lunch. We have enjoyed dinners with groups of 10+, Holiday events on the 2nd floor, an anniversary dinner this year with my husband, countless work celebration lunches. The Belvedere is consistently high with their service, food quality and menu offerings. We love it here.
This a place with great atmosphere.
Food can be a little expensive so we went there for the "$40 for 2" package deal during Lancaster's Restaurant Week. We had a great time, our server was awesome but my entree was just so-so. I had the pasta bolognese and found the sauce to be thin and with a lot less meat, carrots, etc. that you usually find in this type of sauce. I wouldn't order it again. My husband got a smoked pork entree that was very good. If you like creme brulee, order this for dessert. It was done perfectly.
Our First Visit 3/3/16
Took advantage of Restaurant to try this place. Regret we never came here before. Food was outstanding. Service was superb. Will definitely return to try items off the regular menu.
Food was amazing, service was friendly and attentive....could eat here everyday!
The food was extraordinary, presented in an appealing way and affordable.
Great spot for date day #sundayfunday
Great spot for date day #sundayfunday
We booked the Belvedere for an Anniversary dinner, something we have done twice before and were very pleased. This time however, the food just didn't rise to the quality it had in the past. I had a pork dish that was so salty I am sure my blood pressure rose twenty points and I could not finish it. The leaks it was sat on had way too much cream cheese sauce which, in itself, was not all that tasty . This dish was titled as a "special", not so much. The biggest disappointment of all was the lobster bisk the restaurant advertises as a specialty of theirs. Had no lobster and only a couple grainy pieces of indistinguishable meat, I assume fish and it tasted nothing like any lobster bisk my wife and had ever had. In fact just as a generic soup it was not good. The up side is the place is gorgeous, better ambiance cannot be found in Lancaster, PA. The wine list is unique, somewhat off the beaten path, but I have never been disappointed with a bottle suggested by the waiting staff. Our waitress was charming and very efficient, our only disappointment was a once brilliant kitchen either had a bad night or something has changed and unfortunately not for the better.
First time but won't be our last!
Located in the downtown area but easily accessible by car with convenient parking nearby. Service was excellent. From cocktails to dessert we were never rushed. After a wonderful meal we enjoyed a jazz ensemble to top off the evening.
Excellent find in Downtown Lancaster
I remember it years ago as the Harmony Inn. What a transformation! Imaginative menu served by the very accommodating Sharon. The wine glasses were the large size appropriated for reds and the contents generously poured. We found the desserts enticing, but were too full to indulge. Highly recommended!
I took my girlfriend here for a belated Valentine's Day dinner and we both had a lovely time. This was both of our first time going to the Belvedere and we have already discussed plans to return. My only regret was not making the reservation sooner! We were a little too early to see the live jazz, but we will definitely be experiencing that the next time we go.

Despite the annoying hiccup by the hostess who didn't credit us for checking in (having repeated my name multiple times), and costing us the headache of disputing our "missed opentable reservation," we loved our lunch. Hunter was a super server and the food was delicious. Gorgeous restaurant and beautiful table service.
Exceptional Lancaster Eatery
My partner and I visited the Belvedere Inn for Valentine's Day for dinner. The food was exquisite and worthy of at least one Michelin Star. I highly recommend both the restaurant and bar to those wishing to be wine and dine in a comfortable and classy venue. I look forward to returning!
Fine Dining in Lancaster, Pa
The food was excellent, along with the service. A waiter (not ours) overheard us joking about getting old and needing shots.....and he brought us two, on the house. We enjoyed a fantastic Valentine's Dinner at the Belvedere.
This place was great for Valentine's Day! We had a nice menu to pick from and the food was delish. Our waiter was very polite and offered great service. We ordered a seafood fondue and the bread that it came with was smaller so we had about half a crock left and he offered us rolls to use so we didn't have to waste the rest of the fondue. It's the little things you remember about great service. It was a bit dark but romantic for the holiday. I would def recommend this to others.
This place was awesome!
I really enjoyed the atmosphere, food, and polite service. The food was absolutely fantastic!
Great food and service. Valentines Day specials were excellent.
Best food ever !
This is the best pace ever! We have traveled and ate a lot of places but the Belevedere Inn takes the cake. It was possible one of the best meals I have ever had in my life! Cannot wait to go back when we are in town!
My aunt highly recommended this place. She was right the Caesar salad was very good and the French fries were good. I ordered strip steak medium well and it was more than well done. It was so tough I could not even cut and it was like shoe leather to chew. I feel ripped off by spending 31.00 on a steak i didn't enjoy and couldn't eat. I left at least half on my plate. This was a special Valentines night celebration and I was not satisfied. I will not go back.
