A small, cozy neighborhood restaurant that serves Northern Italian food in a welcoming ambiance. We are chef-owned (chef Omar Lavayen) and operated & pride ourselves on using locally-sourced produce. Bellissimo offers a diverse menu featuring seafood, homemade pastas, veal, filet mignon & and homemade desserts, to name a few. Think about homemade lobster ravioli in a champagne cream sauce melting in your mouth with a delicious glass of wine! Have a sweet tooth- end the meal with homemade tiramisu or dark chocolate mousse w/ a touch of frangelico. We offer a full bar and extensive wine list. *Bellissimo also serves gluten -free and vegetarian options and are open to dietary restrictions.

A Truly Unforgettable Dining Experience at Bellissimo Restaurant From the moment we walked into Bellissimo Restaurant in Fairfax, we knew we were in for something special. Every aspect of our experience — from the food to the service — was absolutely incredible. We started with the mussels and burrata appetizers, and both were bursting with flavor. The mussels were perfectly cooked in a savory broth that we couldn’t stop dipping our bread into, while the burrata was fresh, creamy, and paired beautifully with its accompaniments. For the main course, we were blown away by the seafood pasta and the angel hair pasta — each dish prepared with such finesse and attention to detail. The seafood was fresh, tender, and plentiful, nestled in a perfectly balanced sauce. The angel hair was delicate and flavorful, cooked to perfection. We also tried two of the veal dishes, and they were melt-in-your-mouth delicious — rich, comforting, and expertly seasoned. All paired perfectly with a bottle of Prossecco and 2 bottles of Red Wine-Primitivo. What truly elevated the entire experience was the impeccable service. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They made us feel welcome and cared for throughout the meal. Bellissimo is more than just a restaurant — it’s an experience. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just craving an exceptional Italian meal, this place is a must-visit. The seafood was overcooked and fishy tasting. We split our meal but was charged double—$50 for a sub par pasta dish. We found something in the bottle of wine- crystal looking in the bottom of a wine glass and the waiter provided another glass of wine but did not take anything off the bill. Gnocchi was in fettuccine sauce and not good. Overall, great little restaurant with regard to location and ambience but will not be going again.

Very good dinner with friends. Food & service were great. My Chicken Marsala was totally delicious. My husband was quite happy with the pasta special. We’ll come back.

We had a wonderful experience and enjoyed the food. This is authentic Italian. It wasn’t as busy as I would’ve expected or as busy as some of the surrounding places but I assume that people enjoy the bar scene more than a nice restaurant. Was well worth taking the risk and visiting.

This was, hands down, the best meal of my life. We got the vegetarian chef’s menu (~$90 for two) and it was not only a generous amount of food, but also the tastiest Italian food I’ve ever had. Every thing that came out of the kitchen was better than the last and considering it started with a lightly fried ball of burrata in the best red sauce I’ve had in my life, that is saying something.

Authentic Italian experience we haven’t had anywhere else in the DMV area. Understated elegance, excellent food and wine, and affordable - we felt we had traveled to Italy while there.

It was a lovely time, and nice that there was free parking just across the street. The service was attentive, and the menu had a nice variety. A great place to have nice evening out.
