We had a one night stay over on Memphis and wanted to experience Beale Street. We were surprised when we arrived, we had front row seats. Memphis Jones had the first set, we loved the way he explained Memphis history with his music. Preston Shannon was next on stage. He was very good and got the place rocking. Our waitress was great, the food was good, we will be back, if ever that way again.
Whatever happened to service
Booked a table for dinner , restaurant at time was nearly empty and then I waited and waited and waited and waited"...................... Nobody came near me, eventually I gave up, no one seems to care Worst restaurant experience in years
Fantastic Music snd great ribs! Definitely worth a visit.
BB King's was the central focus of my road trip south. I celebrated my birthday by ordering a full rack of ribs. I think that these may have been the best ribs that I have had in my life. I may have eaten that full rack in record time (for me). In my humble opinion, if you like great BBQ, live blues music, and friendly people, go to BB King's on Beale St in Memphis!!

Never a bad visit to BB's!! If you walk out hungry, it's your own fault! Have seen three different bands play there and can't wait 'til October whn I can come back!en

Great band, good food, not gourmet but good. Fun atmosphere. Great spot on the Beale!
BBKings has a great atmosphere and the food was very tasty. The service was excellent and my husband and I are glad we went there.
Not very clean. Seemed to be valued more as a nightclub than a restaurant. Tables were sticky from the night before; food was barely passable. In Memphis I expected better BBQ. The macaroni & cheese was awful.
did not hold up to expectations
Was excited to go here, but disappointed when we did. Full rack of ribs, dry throughout and burnt one one end. This from a famous bbq place. Service was good, band was fun
First-timer on Beale St. I was very disappointed with the food and service@BB King; could have paid much less for the quality. However, the live band and the ambiance lifted the experience of a unsatisfactory dining at BB King on BealeSt.
Good food, great music, slow service.
Glad I chose this place over other Beale St. venues. Be prepared to wait and wait for food.
It was great food and great entertainment. We loved it.
Down home cooking
This is a great place to go for some good ole soul food. The ribs are delicious & tender, fried pickles was great, green beans was so good I ordered a second bowl.

Barbecue ribs were awesome. Expected the food to be average because the music is so awesome, but was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was!
Surprise guest performer with Will Tucker Band!
At first I was disappointed because Will was not playing but Kirk Smithhart was his replacement! Had chili there for 1st time, no hot sauce needed, as it was spicy!
I had the gumbo and it was excellent
Good service, good music and good food. Would visit again
Loved the music!
Good was okay... A little too much salt. But the atmosphere was great and the live Blues Band was fantastic!
Only 2 waitress for whole upstairs ... Order was wrong and the waitress never had time to go downstairs to the kitchen to fix it she said ... Not worth the money !!!
Food was a pleasant surprise as we came for music
Came to see the Will Tucker band before heading to the Memphis Open and was not expecting much in the food arena. After all it is a blues bar on Beale street with an active music scene. Needless to say everythung was delicious. The BBQ salmon over creamed corn with shrimp was so yummy....almost licked the plate! The ribs and collard greens were as well. And the grilled cheese and creamy tomato soup was definitely above run of the mill. Will Tucker put on a fabulous show. The only downside was that we had asked about drink specials and our waiter said they didn't have any. Came to find out afterwards that there were specials, which one person had ordered and had to ask for an adjustment on the check.

Great time at BBs
Had a great night out at BB King's bar in Memphis. The band was exception and one of the best we had heard in our travels through Nashville and Memphis. The food was great - nothing fancy but great burgers, ribs, wings etc. Was a fun night and would definitely recommend you check this out if visiting Memphis
We were disappointed.
We were annoyed by the policy “we card everyone.” As a couple in our 60’s, we were clearly of age to order beer. Such a policy suggests lazy management and an indifference to customer service. We skipped drinks. But our greatest disappointment was that the music was decidedly not Blues! The band was good but the music was soul/popular and unnecessarily loud. We would not go again.
Great time, great food, great music. I wish I knew about the $5 cover charge per person before I got there.
The food was fantastic! Good southern cooking done right! The entertainment was awesome - musician provided history lessons with the music that were fascinating. Musicians were very talented and engaged the audience. Only disappointment was having to pay cover charge in addition to cost of dinner and drinks.

This evening was a lot of fun, My seating was immediate and very good view. The band was incredible and we felt we had a great Beale st. experience
Worth our 12-hour round trip!
We came for the food and music, and we left delighted. Fantastic service, great entertainment, drinks and dancing. The BBQ melted in my mouth, and the gumbo was the best I've had.

Great food and classic blues atmosphere although most of the live performance music though very good was not blues music.
Great music and fantastic food
Even though it was a rainy Monday night 4 days before Christmas and pretty much a deserted Beale St., once inside the BB King's Blues Club you forgot all about that. The house band (Preston Shannon) was a really nice treat. They were fantastic! Absolutely enjoyed their performance. The food was just as amazing. One of the best Shrimp & Grits I've stumbled across and probably the best Peach Cobbler ever sampled. I can't wait to get back.
Arrived a little early and thought we'd have a drink before dinner. They were very accommodating and seated us right away. Service was fantastic - and we were there a few hours! Food was really good, but served luke-warm and that is the only reason it wasn't rated outstanding. Can't say enough for the bar or wait staff. Music was just what we wanted and had hoped for. We'll return - hopefully many times!

The food was not that good, enjoyed the band. Everyone in my party received their food 15min before me and all I had was a pork sandwich and fries
Good music, decent food!
Of all the places to listen to music and eat on Beale Street this is my favorite.
The Memphis Jones Trio was a lot of fun! They played great hits with enthusiasm and shared stories and fun facts about the music and musicians. Service was extremely slow. The spinach dip was cold and bland. The hummus and veggie plate had very old veggies. Celery and carrots not edible. The hummus was good.
Memphis Jones is the greatest.
If you like Memphis music this is the place to be. Particularly when Memphis Jones is playing. (usually Monday & Wednesday evenings from 5 til 8pm) Food is good. service is good. Fun times!
Good music, decent food
With all the choices to eat & drink on Beale Street this is my favorite. Normally Will Tucker, a young blues guitarist, plays Fri & Sat 5-8:30 pm.
Better luck next time with dinner but music great
Disappointed that food not up to par on this visit. Couple next to me said their food had been burnt the night before but they were back for the music.

Glad my husband & I made reservations for BB King cos the place filled up to standing room capacity every evening. We had a very friendly wait staff. Enjoyed the wings and corn/jalepeno fritters with our drinks. Great group/singer the evening we were there. Definitely a place we will return to on our next trip to Memphis.

The food was tasty, satisfying and better than expected. Service from Julie was excellent and our table was wonderful. Great view of the stage. The bands playing were top notch. We expected to just be there and hour or two and ended up staying the whole evening. They pour an excellent g&t.
