Had lunch with some some dear friends we hadn't seen in 25 years. It was perfect. Food was delicious. View was immaculate.. thank you
The setting is gorgeous however the meal was not worth $205.

Baleens delightful. The food is excellent and the ocean beautiful. Only two negatives--there is nothing to soften the setting sun (note the beach umbrellas up the beach a little, while the need to pay for valet parking seems excessively commercial. Still, our dinner tonight (we both had the wild Scottish salmon) was a treat and the ambience delightful.
Beautiful location overlooking the water
Great spot for watching the sunset! Food was very good but the dinner was more memorable for the location and view rather than for the food. Service was excellent

We made a reservation for a party of 8 months in advance- we waited well over 45 minutes to be seated and the hostesses were quite rude about it- they did nothing to apologize for our extended wait- once we were seated our table was lovely, the food was good but our mindset was if we were to ever go back again we'd make an earlier reservation- people just don't get up here in a reasonable amount of time
Our evening at Baleen, our first visit, was absolutely wonderful. Our waiter, Rob, could not have been more attentive, and the atmosphere and Gulf views were quite special. We are absolutely going back.
Great on the beach ambience, average food
On a beautiful evening, we were seated outside on the porch. The ambience was excellent and romantic. The food was expensive and average in quality - nothing special and poor seasoning. The service was very poor because it was extremely slow. We waited thirty minutes for a bottle of wine to be served after the order, and everything else was slow. Overall the experience was very good only because of the views and setting on the beach.
The view and food were relaxing.

Best beachfront dining in Naples!
I've been to Turtle Club, Naples Beach Resort and Gumbo Limbo (at the Ritz-Carlton) and this blows them all away. The ambiance and food is just so much better than the others. I had the price fixe menu and it was delicious. But the regular menu also had a lot of great stuff on there. As with any Naples restaurant during the high tourist season, reservations are recommended and try to get there for the amazing sunset.

Gorgeous view, impeccable service, extremely friendly waitress, and great food! Perfect night out with friends watching the sunset! Can't wait to go back someday! What a treat!
Overbooking tables is bad for business.
We had a reservation for six people at 8:15 PM . When we arrived and checked in with the hostess, she told us a table for six was in the process of paying and that we should be seated momentarily . Clearly, this was simply a stock answer . At 9:20 PM we were thinking about leaving and going to another restaurant, when we were told our table was finally available. When we complained to the manager about the length of our wait, he told us if we didn't like waiting we could just simply leave -- abruptly walking away as if we were bothering him for complaining. Perhaps we should've been offered complementary cocktails and an apology. Ever heard of customer service? Once we were finally seated, it took 15 minutes to get a wine menu and then 20 minutes to have someone take an order for our wine. The four friends we took to dinner who had never been to Baleen certainly were not impressed. In the future, we will take friends to Chops.

We arrived at Bayleen in a sudden rain shower which eliminated outdoor dining. Staff adjusted, accommodated quite a crowd inside, and gave the impression that they were very capable of managing this inconvenience. Food and service were wonderful. We had a great time. "noise" level added to the festive mood of so many gathered inside rather than outside as we had planned.
Great but long wait... Even with reservation!
We had reservation and didn't get a table until an hour later! Nobody apologized and the waiter said they weren't normally this busy in April... Didn't really care to hear an excuse while paying over $200 for dinner and drinks for 3! The service was respectable once we got seated and the food was good. If it wasn't on the ocean I wouldn't hurry back!

The atmosphere is always sunny, relaxed and quiet as we enjoyed sitting on the patio overlooking the ocean. The staff are exceptionally attentive. The food is always consistently delicious with extras such as a special spread for the fresh crisp bread.
Great place for sunset
There isn't anyplace better in all of Naples for cocktails, sunset and a great meal!
Unfortunately a romantic dinner was ruined by a screaming baby at the table next to ours. The mother ignored the baby for a long time. After 15 minutes the mother took the baby away for several minutes only to return with the screaming baby and then loudly berate others at her table for continuing to drink while she was away. The staff did nothing to alleviate the situation. Not a good way to have a romantic dinner at 8:00pm. Pete

The food was AMAZING. I HAD The prix fixe menu is the way to go. The patio was great and we ended dinner at sunset, beautiful.
Best Kitchen in Town IMO
Not too salty, not full of butter. Always fresh masterfully prepared food. The staff is very friendly, professional and attentive (down to the order of which they poured the wine based on gender of their guests). My recommendation: eat at Baleen immediately.

Service was not good. Had to track down a server to get water and menus. Lobster Cobb salad was a disappointment. Not much lobster and lacked traditional Cobb salad features.

Had dinner at Baleen, but was very disappointed with the service. We have been coming to Naples for the past 8 years, and enjoying both lunch and dinner at Baleen. But on this particular evening, the evening started out with a wait for water, and continued with a wait for cocktails, a long wait for our meal, and then the waiter never returned to check on our meal. While the meal was good, we will not be returning due to the service.
It was my wife and I's first visit to Naples as we have been all over Florida and we both feel as though we have found our serenity moving forward with future plans. The Baleen from Valet to Valet was just a wonderful experience. Sunset was spectacular!!
Beach Front Dining
The food was excellent. I remembered Baleen's to be a seafood restaurant. However, there were meat choices as well. We ordered the Filet, Pork Tenderloin, and the Lobster Risotto. All were superior! You can't go wrong with the ocean view just steps away.

Really 5 dollars for valet plus tip Wasn't that way with previous owners It just gets me that they have to get that extra buck Two of the salads were not prepared as per menu I find that salads at lunch time don't get as much attention (always something left out) at many restaurants. Attention to detail was lacking Where was my server ???
Poor management and poor service
If you come here during prime time, expect lackluster service. Waiter is typically very brief in interactions. During our last visit, my wife was bumped on the back of her chair by hurrying waiters. Glass drinks were spilled/shattered outside due to waiters bumping into one another in a hurry. Drinks are not filled in a timely manner. Servers disappear for several minutes and it is very difficult to get ask for something or order another drink. Assisting staff are un-engaging and aloof. The list goes on and on, but basically boils down to poor service. I get the feeling that management has overextended the capacity of waiters to serve here. There are too many tables for not enough servers at peak times. Also, they have tables crammed and arranged to squeeze in as many people as possible for dinner. And there is a new $5 charge for parking just to eat here. Really, who does that!? This is a new policy and they have the nerve to mention "tip not included" on their signage. Well, here's a tip... Lose the paid parking for paying customers. If this restaurant wants to better themselves, they need to focus on quality not quantity which they are obviously not doing. Food is good, but not great. My wife's dish came out cold, but she ate it because we knew our server wouldn't be back to check on us and not worth the wait. We took our dessert to go for similar reasons. We just wanted to leave! If it's not a busy night, you might get better service, but don't expect it. Some servers are better than others but there is only so much they can do when overburdened with other customers.
Great Seaside Location
Good food and service in an outstanding beachside location.
Had not been to Baleen in years, but when I had a group of 6 in town and needed a scenic place for dinner I saw it and remembered how much fun it could be. The last time there, many years ago, was disappointing. This night was the opposite. We will go back to Baleen anytime!!!

A great restaurant and location!
Baleen is a delightful restaurant! The food is delicious (we have been there for brunch, lunch, and dinner). The wait staff is helpful, courteous, and capable. The view of the Gulf is lovely, and seating on the porch is comfortable and affords a nice place to eat along with surf and sky views. The weekend brunch is one of our favorites!

We were there for dinner during busy sunset rush so the staff was a bit challenged in accommodating everyone. Otherwise we had a very enjoyable dining experience. Thanks
We greatly enjoyed a lovely sunset and dinner at Baleen. We sat on the grassy area near the beach and it was a very memorable occasion.
My favorite at Bayleens has always been the crunchy grouper tacos. I was disappointed this time- they were very messy and hard to eat. And very pricey at $22.50 (I think that was the price?). And no taste. My friend had a crab cake sandwich which was $23. The valet parking has been changed for the worse. Before this fall the valet parking was Free if you dined.... Now it is $5. Plus you are expected to tip. We were there a little over an hour and my parking was $8 (5 for parking and $3 for a tip. What I saw happening was people paid the $5 and either lowered what they tip or didn't tip at all! Not fair to the valet assistants. Was my favorite place- not any more.......
Can't beat the setting - and good food!
My husband and I went to celebrate a special event. The restaurant was less formal and had more kids and families than I was expecting, but once the sun set the crowd was mostly adults and groups. We shared the Seafood Tower, which as very good. There were a few things that we didn't like - specifically the Ceviche, which had a weird legume-like item in it that was like a cross between a lima bean and a large corn kernel that was really pretty gross. But otherwise we enjoyed everything. The oysters and shrimp and crab were delicious. The Tuna Tartare and crab salad were very nice. I really enjoyed the restaurant and would recommend it. But if you're going for sunset, expect a very busy and family oriented crowd,
