AZUR restaurant & patio was designed after European establishments providing the feel of being in a different place without leaving Lexington. The food is described as new American and Heirloom Contemporary. The chefs react to what comes at them from the local markets making our cuisine locally influenced, but worldly inspired. The walls are bold blues and greens with curves throughout. The interior space flows outside through three sets of French doors onto the elegant stone bordered brick patio. Weather permitting, the patio is opened and the patio sides could be lowered for inclement weather.

    The new Azur is excellent like the prior. Much of the staff has returned. The new chef is innovative and mixing new items & flavors with a return of some of the prior offerings.

    Azur Restaurant recently re-opened and it is better than ever. The new manager, Taylor, and the staff are great. There’s a revised menu and the food and service are better than ever.

    The food and service are amazing. The space is very nice. BUT THE NOISE LEVEL INSIDE WAY TOO LOUD. Hopefully, the acoustics can be fixed.

    The food was very very good. However I had a vegetarian pasta dish which was great but I usually take at least half of my food home as I do not eat a lot and I easily ate all of it. Someone with a bigger appetite would have left hungry. It was $30 which seems excessive for a pasta dish with no meat or seafood and a very small serving. We did not get any bread with our meals, which the waitress said later that we should have and she did comp our dessert since we didn’t get bread. Another thing which seemed strange was that when we made the reservation they asked if it was for a special occasion. It was my birthday and we said so. They wished me a happy birthday but no little token dessert or anything. So why did they even ask? We will probably try again since they just reopened and hopefully will get things together soon.

    Have dined at Azur for many, many years and this was our first visit since they reopened after a hiatus of several months. This was easily the worst meal we've ever had at Azur - my wife had the grouper special, and the polenta was much too salty and the fish was average. I had the pork chop, which was 3/4 fat and the small lean portion was overcooked. Never seen anything like it. We understand they now have a new chef. Our server was Brooklyn, who did a very nice job - professional and attentive - she was the bright spot. We suggest they store the spray cleaner bottles and rags for table cleaning out of site and not in the open in plain sight. Can't imagine going back anytime soon.

    So glad that Azur is back. There are a few new items on the menu, and I hope they will continue to update it. Had the Blackened Grouper special and it was perfectly cooked! Our server said she had worked for Azur for over a year when they closed. It speaks well that she came back for the reopening.
