Aspen Grille Ratings and Reviews
Food was excellent and the service was even better! Of all the places we ate while in Myrtle Beach- Aspen Grille was by far the best. My wife and I both had steak, and ordered the blue cheese butter on the side. That, together with the flavored salts made for an awesome combination.

A lovely evening
We had an amazing dinner experience at the Aspen Grille. We looked on trip advisor for restaurant recommendations. We had escargot , yellow squash soup and then we shared filet and scallops. Everything was fabulous. We loved our server too! Dark brunette waitress with glasses but her name is escaping me now.
We enjoyed happy hour at the bar with 2 appetizers - Tuna is the best I have ever had and then we sat for dinner - birthday celebration - food was amazing - the scallops were prepared perfectly and they were not real sweet like you sometimes get at other restaurants in the area. Our services was excellent and we truly enjoyed our overall experience.
Service, food, annoying music...sad combination.
We have dined here often. Sadly, we will not return. Is Aspen Grille under new ownership? Such drastic change! Service nowhere near the level it had been. Food...everything under thick sauces...a sign of poor quality fish and meat. Bland bread basket replacing creative muffins . Wonderful butters replaced with a so-so salt service. And annoying, loud female singer on a keyboard....why? Is business so bad you need to try to entice diners with live music? What had been a high quality dining experience is now just ordinary...and bad.
Loved the food and selection. Had difficult with choosing, so many great options, waitress gave great advice and willing to make our meal customized. We are always looking for wow restaurants, this was one! The filet was perfect, risotto was decadent, and scallops were giant and tender! Would make this a regular hot spot if we lived in the area.
Excellent Dining Experience
Throuroughly enjoyed our 1st dining experience at Aspen Grille. The fresh cuisine, friendly service and memorable celebration of our Son's 25th was perfect. We appreciate fine dining and Aspen a Grille exceeded our expectations. Our entree choices included Grouper w/ Mushroom Risotto, Scallops and a Rack of Lamb, accompanied by the warm goat cheese and pear salads. Aspen Grille is one of our top picks in Myrtle Beach!
Staff at this restaurant was superb.
Our waiter was very very engaging , friendly, attentive and just downright fantastic. The owner of the restaurant came out and greeted us chatted for a while and told us not to be strangers when we returned to Myrtle Beach. This is to me one of the best restaurants that I have eaten at in a long time and I am a foodie.

Sunday evening at Aspen Grille
Spent a very nice Sunday evening at Aspen Grille celebrating a birthday. It seemed like a great time to go out since the weekend crowds were no where to be seen. Food was very good. We esp. liked the corn and pea risotto.

My second time there and very pleased. Ambiance was great. Soft live piano music. Great food. Thank you! We will be back when we are in town again.
One of the best restaurants in the area
The Aspen Grille never disappoints and has become our favorite restaurant. The service is excellent, the food is to perfection....looking forward to our next visit.

We had a wonderful Easter dinner. The oysters were sweet and fresh. The beet salad with goat cheese was suburb. I had the scallops for dinner which were cooked perfectly and my husband had the duck with sweet potato puree and red cabbage-delicious!! Coffee was great, but they need a cappuccino machine. If we go to Myrtle Beach again we would go back to Aspen Grill.
Excellent. Just the way it should be.

Everything is well done here and worth another visit
Wonderful food. Our waiter was very helpful as well as attentive. Good menu selections. Background vocalist added to the ambiance.
Aspen Grille met our high expectations
This was a date night for wife and I. Based on reviews by others we had high expectations that Aspen Grille was going to be a great experience, and it was. It is located in a discreet strip mall area but once inside the décor and ambiance was very nice. A singer was playing and singing songs during the happy hour and the bar area was well filled. We had a 7pm reservation and were promptly seated and attended by Marci. The menu is tough, not overly large but quite broad. We departed from our usual steak and I went for the roasted duck breast and my had the seared scallops. Portions were plenty and well accompanied. We shared some 1/2 shell oysters and a Asian pear salad, which were both excellent. A very nice bottle of a dry Italian Pinot Gris. Finished off with the vanilla bean crème brulee and a snifter of Gran Marnier. Everything was delicious, well prepared, with 1st class service.
We eat at Aspen Grille at least once every trip to Myrtle Beach. Best restaurant in area. Flounder and shrimp always good. Scallops and stuffed flounder were also excellent. Nice wines and great service.
Amongst Myrtle Beach's Best
The exacting standards at Aspen Grille are demonstrated in every dish. The meal we enjoyed this weekend was terrific, as always, and is consistently some of the best meals available in Myrtle Beach. Our appetizers were the Cesar salad, which was crisp, cold and fresh and the shrimp bisque, which was rich, creamy, hot and fresh. I had the wonderful sheepshead fish and cheese grits dinner. It was perfectly cooked and delicious. I might have preferred a rice or plain grits instead of cheese grits as I have a bit of an aversion to fish and cheese, but the grits were tasty and I enjoyed them. My husband enjoyed the pork chop, which is substantial. Perfectly prepared and beautifully cooked he thought it was wonderful. We were to full to enjoy one of their delicious desserts this trip.

Everything was perfect! Me and my boyfriend work in the restaurant business ourselves so we have very high standards. This restaurant did not disappoint. We were visiting from New Jersey and wish there was an Aspen Grille by us. The New York strip was seasoned so perfectly and cooked exactly how we ordered it (that's hard to come by) our server Marcy was great! So personable, she made us feel relaxed! I wouldn't change a thing. This will definitely be a place we visit whenever we are in the area.

Dined here last night for my birthday! It was perfect. The food was great and so was the service. So glad we chose Aspen Grille!
Nothing wrong with this restaurant, but nothing outstanding either. The food was good, but I would not call it great. Service was good, but not great. Ambiance was fine, but nothing exceptional about the decor, etc....

The food was fantastic. The only issue my party and I had was that some of our steaks were overlooked on the outside. But the phenomenal shrimp risotto made up for it. Also, we were given the choice between the main dining room and the private dining room so we chose the private dining room thinking it would be quieter and allow us to chat. Unfortunately, the musicians were set up right outside of the door which made it difficult to hear some parts of the conversation.

It was wonderful. The service was top notch. Perfect. It was not very noisy. They did have live music (singer with piano), but not too loud. So depending on how quiet you want it, you may choose to go some night without music. I can't recommend this place enough. It's a hidden gem.
I've enjoyed Aspen Grille's dinner before but never had their Filet Mignon. It was simply the BEST Filet I've had in a long, long time. Much better than the more expensive steakhouses (Morton's, Ruth's Chris, et al). Wonderful, flavorful with nice charred crust. Excellent service and completely enjoyable. We're going back tonight; twice in one week!
My wife and I have been a fan of Aspen Grille for a number of years. We had the opportunity to introduce our daughter, son and niece to the wonderful cuisine. They thought this was the best meal they had in Myrtle Beach. Another generation committed to Aspen Grille for life.
Good in restaurant dining
The service was impeccable, however the food was good but not great. My husband and I are from the New York City area so to be fair my standards may be much higher based on my own market. Myrtle Beach is not particularly a high end destination. We enjoyed our meal, the service was what really made the night. We had a very nice waitress, she was very professional and would be top notch anywhere in the world. I had the T-bone steak with the béarnaise sauce, my husband had the scallops (which were good but a little bland). The atmosphere is very nice and quiet. I would go back, again. The restaurant was recommended to us by the bartender at the Marriot Spa Resort where we were staying.

We love the Aspen Grill. We have enjoyed every meal we have had there. This evening we began with Oysters Rockefeller. I had the Flounder and Shrimp. They were very good and the roasted potatoes, corn, okra and tomato ragout was so good., I tried to make it the next weekend. Mine wasn't as good. My husband had the Shrimp and Grits. He really enjoyed his dinner. The skinny Cosmo was perfect.
Overly exuberant waitress who made our special evening-out more pressured than we would have expected from an up-scale restaurant. We preferred to enjoy our first glass of wine before ordering our dinner. We were not expecting to be rushed through our decision processes for each course of the meal. It is our suggestion that this particular waitress be educated on the proper treatment and the timing of the patrons wishes. When we requested that we preferred a more casual dining experience, she seemed to be offended and would deliberately not appear at our table for an excessive length of time. Overall effect made the evening somewhat of a disappointment.
This is by far the best place I've eaten at. The staff was amazing and very helpful. They made our Valentines Day great. They even took part in my surprising my boyfriend with a gift.
Second time as good as the first!!
We visited the Aspen Grille for Valentine's Day. They had a special menu for the evening and my husband was pleased with the flounder selection. The dessert was also very tasty, a chocolate pie. The musician was very good and the volume of the music was good considering how close we were to him. Overall a good experience.
Great place the locals know
I almost hate to let the tourists know about this cozy restaurant. It is tucked away at the end of a little string of shops. Not your tidy little place on the water. Great seafood choices and I like that you can get "medium" plates for most of the entrees. We think the portions are large, appetizers included. On weekends you will need reservations and in season during the week too!
A Surprising Gem in Myrtle Beach!
As a person that has lived in Myrtle Beach and New York City for equal amounts of time in my life, I am thrilled to return on a visit and find Aspen Grille! I wonder how it took so long for me to come here. The ambiance is quiet and nice, but not stuffy. Live soft jazz guitar was playing for background sound on Valentine's Day when I went. It was catchy and filled the space well. The wine list is extensive and robust, the cocktails list is also full of classics and unique drink selections. On the menu, I found mostly seafood offerings (which I do not prefer, personally), but there were also a good bit of land selections as well. From the fresh bread to the dessert, everything was well portioned and tasty. We chose two wines which were offered for tasting before being poured. The Crostini arrived quickly and was delightful, followed shortly by our main course. My date ordered the filet, I ordered the duck breast. Both entrees were perfectly cooked and the sides were in perfect proportion. The sweet potato puree and cabbage that accompanied the duck were fantastic. We also ordered dessert, which may have been a mistake for our own waistlines. The dessert portions were generous, and we were both packed to capacity. The meal itself was understandably more than a chain restaurant would have been, but it was very affordable (including the per-glass wine prices). I will return to Aspen with great anticipation on my next visit to the Beach.

Great from the time you walk in the door.
This was our first visit to the Aspen Grille. From the time we walked in the door the staff was friendly and welcoming. We were a little early for our reservation so we waited at the bar and had a drink. The bartender was very friendly and attentive. (I wish I could remember his name) The food was amazing from the first course to the last. Our server(Mark) did an outstanding job of being available but not smothering.
