Arya Global Cuisine - Redwood City Ratings and Reviews
Delicious food. A little bit expensive, but they don't skimp on flavor, which is an issue I've had with other Middle Eastern restaurants. Waiter was very friendly, overall friendly service which is always appreciated. The koobideh kabob is great. The pistachio cheesecake is incredible.

Very Good Food
This place reminds me or Europe in that "you can't judge a book by its cover" way. Something about the way it looks and feels is sorta on the edge of chain type of place and they serve kababs. But the food is very good. Every dish we've had here has been delicious - every time. That's what you need to know. We always leave feeling happy and content. The fresh herb bread dip they serve is wonderful, bright, and flavorful. The roasted eggplant app is so rich and sinfully delicious! We had the appetizer platter and loved it all - plus it's a lot of food! The kababs are moist and delicious and cooked P- perfect! The meat is cooked through but not dry and the veggies are al dente and all with the perfect kiss of char. The saffron rice is crazy good -so fluffy and buttery. And the service is friendly and attentive. It's also a great location for catching a movie since the theater is in the same building. You can park under Box (tall business building) across the street or under the theater.
Even better than their Cupertino location!
I have been a fan of Arya for many years. I really love their Adas Polo (flavored rice), especially with their chicken kabob. I have been to many a Persian restaurant, and Arya is the only one I know of that offers the Adas Polo. I have dined at Arya's Cupertino store more often than their Redwood City one (for convenience), but I think the food in Redwood City is just a smidge tastier!

The food was delicious, the manager & staff were very accommodating and attentive, and dancer was also entertaining! A really great experience with many food options at a very reasonable price.

We were first time diners and the food was very tasty and the waitress guided us for the perfect meal. We will definitely return.
Interesting Persian dining
Very good food, friendly staff, and vibrant atmosphere makes this a local gem.
I like to eat my meals slowly not in 15 minutes. If I wanted that I could go for fast food. The quality of the food was good but I didn't really like the recommendations. The dishes were too similar. We didn't even finish our appetizer when our hot meals came. I felt so rushed even though the restaurant was fairly empty.
Good food, good ambiance!
I celebrated my birthday here with my family and we found it to be a great place to dine ; The food is great and the ambience is good; the belly dancer comes around and invites everybody to dance with her -- it was a lot of fun !
Unexpected find in RWC
Very pleased with this gem of a restaurant. The food is amazing - we ordered the beef and chicken kabob. Polo Adobo rice was ridiculous. Everything was very flavorful, and the portions are huge. One of the owners checked in at our table, and brought us out a yogurt to try with the rice...it escalated the meal and the dining experience from a 9 to a 10+++. Ownership has a genuine interest in service...you don't see that too often in restaurants these days. It is refreshing. The ONLY pushback is the belly dancers that circulate the dining room during dinner. I wish they had a dining section the dancers can't go. It's a little distracting especially when you're there just for dinner - not dinner and a show. She was super respectful, and sensed we were deep in conversation so she didn't approach our table too closely. Wonderful service, delicious food -will be back again...and again, and again.
We went to celebrate a friends engagement and the staff was very accomadating. The wait staff was great in suggesting certain foods and they surprised us with a nice dessert with "congratulations" on it. We had a great time and we'll return again.
Good food good ambiance!
I had been to this restaurant before and really liked the food and service so I recommend We have our holiday get together here. Everyone was so pleased with my choice. We absolutely loved the food and service. We also had fun with the belly dancer; she came to our table and spent time with us showing some dancing moves. We all enjoyed dinner and it felt very festive and special.
Varied and quality mediteranean menu
Enjoyed this restaurant for second time. Persian stews and rices dished are notable. Also, tiramisu and baklava desserts are to die for.
We enjoyed it.
My wife and I hosted a group of Persian and American friends at Arya, Redwood city. It turned out as a delightful experience. The food was great and the service was superb. From the time we walked in Steve made us feel welcome. He suggested the pamgranet meat ball for appetizer that impressed me/us in its taste and novelty. When he saw our American friends are lost by the vast menu he suggested a family style order that made our table colorful with a tray of variety of rice and a tray of variety of meet. Thank you Steve, thank you Arya. We all enjoyed it.
Great dishes. Best services from the staff.
I am the organizer of a women group of over 200. Every week we explore new restaurant. We had such a good experience that I was asked to schedule another lunch so we can try different dishes. So we are coming back soon! And Tina, our server, was very courteous and super nice!

The service was very attentive but non-intrusive. Didn't have to ask for refills which is a definite plus. Had a nice lunch with my friend complete with perfectly cooked shish kabobs and excellent service. Couldn't have been better!
Good Persian Food
I love Persian food but i'm not an expert so hard to really judge as there aren't too many persian cuisine restaurants around. I did lenjoy my rice dish Adas Polo. The rice was delicious, but the chicken that came with was somewhat bland. A friend had the chicken kabob dish and he loved that. Another had a lamb dish which was really good. Overall the food was good, the service was friendly. I know the belly dancing might be a big attraction for some, but we found the music too loud to converse.
This is our second try at this restaurant. We wanted to come back without all the noise of the music and belly dancer. It's so much more relaxing without both. The menu is long and very flexible. You can mix and match what you feel like eating. The hostess was very cordial and friendly. The food was excellent and delicious. The service was also very good. We love the food and will be back for sure.
Great food and service. The belly dance session was a little too short but very nice. Chuck the manager was really friendly and went all out of his way to make us feel at home.
Be careful of the tip amount when splitting check
The food was good but our check was split with our other couple and the tip amount at the bottom of our check listed 20% for the full amount in both couples checks. Given we were both having fun, we wrote in the full 20% tip amount of the original amount. I will be following up about this glitch with management.

The waiter was perfect: once he realized we were familiar with the menu, he left us alone to order, answering questions when needed. No selling....perfect!!
We love this place.
The food is allways very good. On Fri and Sat nights they have belly dancers. If the place isn't packed they let you take your time and order, and don't rush you out the door afterwards.

Really fantastic food and in a great location. Some unfortunate construction acrossed the street meant contruction workers wandering around for 45 minutes until the heavy machinery started up again. But one can't hold a temporary inconvenience like this against the restaurant.
Lunch was great
The only issue was that this was a business meeting, and there was construction going on next door (not the restaurant's fault) that made it very difficult to talk. I think the restaurant needs to negotiate with the neighbor construction company that they need to keep the noise down to a minimum during lunchtime and early dinner time hours.
Not the experience advertised.
I made my reservation for Father's Day, specifically because the advertised belly dancers sounded like a fun experience for my family. When we arrived I spoke to the hostess about seating us in a good location to experience the belly dancers. At the time the ambiance was very quiet. There was NO music at all. Our server was really nice. He was helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered an appetizer and wine. Then we asked when the belly dancers would start. It was then that we were told they cancelled the belly dancers for the whole night. This was a great disappointment to me. I spoke to the manager who said, " It's out of my hands. But if you stay, I'll comp you an appetizer or dessert." Since we'd already ordered an appetizer, we decided to take him up on that offer, rather than cancel the order and leave. The appetizer came, (a vegetarian combo plate) and the food was wonderful. It was presented beautifully. And our waiter, Kevin, continued to provide us with wonderful service. We didn't order any other food, as our 18 month old was restless and unhappy. Then when we got our bill, the manager stated that he would not comp the appetizer, as he told us he would, because we "shouldn't have ordered such an expensive one." And because he thought we "would order 2 dinners". I explained to him that THAT wasn't what he offered. He didn't tell me that he'd comp an appetizer up to a certain price or only if we ordered 2 dinner items. He simply said he would comp an appetizer if we stayed. I ended up arguing with the manager. In the end he comped the appetizer. But this entire experience was disappointing to say the least. I don't know if I'd give this restaurant another try.
father's day lunch
Arya was great overall. Food was excellent and all came out in a timely manner and was presented beautifully. The belly dancing was a bonus for our father's day lunch. Our server, Kevin provided superb service, recommending entree selections and making sure that we had an enjoyable experience. We would definitely come back for another family meal!
Great Service and good food
Their samosas are delicious. We got the humus but they did not serve it with flat bread. When we asked about it they brought some very fresh veggies to go with it, but no flatbread. Their kabobs are juicy and very tasty. Service was outstanding, not too much, but just enough. Overall, it was very good. I will go back.
Too few choices
We booked this restaurant for a mother's day dinner for six partly because it had an extensive menu and reasonable prices. Open Table did not, however, have a way to indicate that the menu was restricted on mother's day to a set price menu with a limited set of choices. Although the special menu (with impossibly small type) said that some regular menu items may be available, the waiter dismissed that saying "this is what we have."
We enjoyed Mothers' Day Brunch here and the food was plentiful and excellent. and very reasonable compared to other set-price brunch menus. The live jazz made it very special. I will definitely return.
Good food, poor service
We came to Arya Global Cuisine after having had a good dinner at the Stevens Creek store. We were pleased with the food, but felt that the service was desultory at best. On at least 2 or 3 occasions, we made an order for food or drink which only arrived after two or 3 inquiries.
Good chance to try Persian Cuisine
The portions of rice are generous. I liked the feta cheese appetizer. There are several mixed plates of appetizers. The hummus was OK - good, not great. The food is basic like home cooking and the menu wide ranging. The Persian stews are great - if a bit watery. You could just get appetizer plates and be well satisfied. If you want to see what Persian food tastes like this is a good place to try things. There are plenty of other dishes for those who don't want Persian food. The wine list is extensive. It is not a late-night find mid-week - we were the last to leave and it was before 10:00 pm.
Excellent food. Entertainment was... amusing.
The food was excellent. Period. We dined on a night where they had their regularly scheduled belly dancing. It was an amusing and somewhat entertaining event... if you enjoy people watching. It felt crass.
Good food & great service
Our waiter Steve was very helpful in explaining the dishes & making recommendations since it was our first visit. Food was flavorful & cooked just right. Entrée dishes were generous that all 4 of us brought extra home.

Disappointing 2nd visit
2nd visit. On the plus side, the staff is friendly and attentive and on weekends there is entertainment. Also, the menu is huge and varied. First visit was good enough to warrant a return, but second visit was not so good. Sadly, not a one of the four of us enjoyed our meals as we expected. Two lamb dishes were way overcooked. Kabob consisted of onions, peppers, and lamb, a yummy cooked tomato on the side, and lots of rice. The lamb was flavorless and mushy. Lamb chops were only slightly better. Koobideh and chicken combo was slightly better. Walnut pomegranate stew was not so great. Caesar salads were ok but wilted and not really chilled. Dessert of "vanilla" ice cream and baklava was also not so good. Baklava was pale and flavorless, ice cream was some kind of lemon pistachio (I think). Since the first visit was good, we may give it another try, but not for a while. There is so much potential there, they need to up their game.

The waiter was pushy. The food was awful, last time I go there.
The food was great. Great selection. Something for everyone. There were 8 of us for a birthday celebration. Everyone had something different and no one was disappointed. We would definitely go there again. High recommend Arya.
Amazing Food and Service
Arya Global Cuisine was an amazing restaurant. Their food was great with lots of flavor. I would recommend the vegetarian meze platter. Not to mention their service was great. All the servers were very kind and guided us through ordering. I would recommend to go there and you will be sure to have a great time.
