We met my nephew and his GF here for drinks and dinner. Great menu. Interesting wine list. Perfect location in DT Charlotte. We had a delicious meal. I had trout, which was delicious. Others had pasta and beef dishes. Ambience is good. Looked like a fun bar scene with happy hour specials.
Really good but not as good as prior visits
Special occasion birthday dinner and at least 5-6th visits before this time. Service from this specific waiter was haphazard throughout the meal. Food was good for the most part but the favorite Osso Buco (veal only please) was not on the menu and tried the veal loin special instead - but just ok. Wine and second drinks finally came when almost done with meal.

First time dining here, everything was amazing from the food, ambiance, waitress and the live musical performance! Will definitely visit again soon!!
Thank you for a wonderful evening with my family!
The welcome arrival from the staff that provided top service and excellent food in time for us to get to our theater evening of entertainment made for a special night!

We have eaten at Aria before shows in the past. Food is always excellent but our service was nonexistent on Thursday. We did not see our server much through the course of our meal. He seemed overwhelmed with the number of tables he had. Even though our reservations were for 5:45pm when the Restaraunt was not busy it picked up quickly. We cut it short getting our check then paying to make the 7:30 pm show at Belk Theater. We were not the only ones impacted by our waiter and trying to get to the show. If we choose to try Aria again as season ticket holders I hope the service is greatly improved.
Aria is a favorite!
Wow! What a great find! Varied menu, huge selection of wine, comfortable seating, wonderful ambiance, friendly and accommodating staff. The food is superb, service excellent, desserts to die for- one of Charlotte's best kept secrets. Special date, romantic night, family get together, rehearsal dinner, reception, business lunch or dinner- I don't think there's an occasion Aria is not well suited to handle. Outstanding overall experience!
Overall great night!
One of the friendliest and helpful front door staffs around town! Service and food spectacular! We will defiantly be back.
Off night for typically reliable Aria
On a busy theater night, the valet was absent, the inventory of salmon was low and the wait staff were off their game. This location is great for pre-theater meal but because of tonight's experience, I will be across the street at the completion next time.
We went before the theater
It was great. My friend & I went before the theater. we were finished in plenty of time to get to the show. Waitress was great. Food was great.
Oil, Bread, and Beans
I always enjoy my lunch/dinner when I go to Aria. They fixed the food just they way I want it, I appreciate our waitress making sure we had everything we needed. It is always good to have the warm and fresh bread as a light appetizer then on to the good stuff!
Got to Aria and were told to wait 15 minutes for our 7:00 reservation (it was about 7:05). 40 minutes later we were seated. The dinner was very good and had good service. I thought it was a very reasonable and was very tasty. Overall a good experience except for the long wait even with reservations. Would recommend to a friend or family.

Host lost our reservation after checkin then sat two parties ahead of us. For a Thursday night it was a discombobulated mess. The pan seared scallops (you get 3 for $25) were over cooked and unseasoned. The trout was over cooked and over seasoned served on a stew slop of white beans. Diet Coke was served in the bottle. Worst meal ever over $75. Will not return.
Great food, great staff
Aria Ceasar salad was excellent. Great wine list of all prices. Chicken Parmesan serving was enough for two with delicious pasta. Lasagna was delicious. No room for dessert, but had a great dessert selection.
Pre concert dinner
Dined before concert at Time Warner Arena. Short delay getting seated as "everyone was running behind", we thought nothing of it. Surprisingly, host sat us at the Chef's table in the kitchen (we had not requested) which was an incredibly nice gesture. We enjoyed watching all the hard work going on in the kitchen. Food was served hot and in timely fashion. I had the caprese salad, specialty pizza, and scallops. Salad was delicious, pizza was fantastic. Scallops were cooked perfectly, but dish was not terribly exciting otherwise. My wife ordered the Halibut (also cooked perfectly), but was a bit on the salty side. Service once we were seated was solid. They made sure we were done with our dinner in time to get to concert. Much appreciated. Will return without a doubt
I have been dining at ARIA for over 10 years now. I absolutely love the variety of dishes, drinks and the great service and location. I always bring friends visiting Charlotte to ARIA and they always enjoy it and want to come back as well.
Disappointed but will return
I am a big fan of Aria's. The food is usually very good. This visit I tried the Salmon panzella salad. Bad choice. Tiny portion that was mainly red onions with small piece of salmon. Not a typical lunch salad. Glad there was bread to eat.

We visit Charlotte yearly and always make a reservation at Aria.
Friday night dinner
Food was very good but service was poor. Entrees arrived mid-salad and were taken away - pasta had a finish on it when it was returned. Waiter was inattentive and forgetful. Drinks finally arrived after appetizers were finished.
Another memorable evening
From the calamari appetizer to our main course... everything was scrumptious !

We went for a quick dinner before a Hornets game - we took advantage of the Bar Bites menu and it was great. Food was delicious and all plates were $5. We had gnocchi with gorgonzola sauce, sliders that were actually medium rare as asked (most sliders are overcooked and dry) and the calamari which was also cooked perfectly and had a nice slightly spicy tomato and roasted red pepper dipping sauce. The bartendress helped me pick a nice white wine by the glass. Everything was served amazingly fast. We will definitely be back to Aria!
Perfect Date Night!
Aria was a great find after a long and stressful week. The wait staff was attentive but took great care not to rush us. The server was knowledgeable about the wine list as well as the menu. The low lights and soft, live music created the perfect set ting for a romantic night on the town. We will definitely return for an encore.
Late Night Dinner with Family
I had a very late dinner here with my family whose flight arrived at 9:30pm. We were a party of 8 at that hour and it didn't seem to matter to the staff! Even though we ordered after 10pm, the food was hot and delicious and our waiter was awesome!

Our party of five visited Charlotte for the night and chose Aria because it was close to our hotel. Everything was amazing and we could not stop raving about the food and cool atmosphere. Would recommend to anyone!

Ambiance was unique, I sat on a couch when I went and food was pretty good.
I have eaten at Aria many times, and this time it was disappointing. The food was good, but not spectacular, as it often is. We were seated upstairs, and the service was, at best, mixed. And it was noisy.

We have always enjoyed dining at Aria. We ordered Grouper and Short Ribs. Our recommendation is to alert your waiter if you prefer limiting your salt.
My husband, son and I dined here during the week and it was awesome all the way around. One in our party was a little late arriving and that did not deter us from being seated. Our waiter was outstanding and did not rush us at all. We were just relaxing and enjoying our cocktails before ordering our dinners. Our meals we ordered were delicious!! Our waiter was very knowledgeable with the menu selections as well as with the wine choices. It is definitely a place that we will return to.
Excellent food but one issue...
Got served wine in a low ball glass. When asked about wine glasses, server told us that is the new thing for them and that it was done to help prevent breakage of stem glasses. To our right, a couple had a bottle of wine and two great looking stem glasses - I am not making this up. We said nothing and just looked at each other in disbelief. Other than that, most of the rest of the service was good. He was prompt and kept up with the table. Food was fantastic.
the appetizers were fantastic!
We were 4 at dinner. we all got appetizers and I got an appetizer of a very delicate ravioli with a sliver of scallop inside as my main course. It was amazing!! So delicate, perfect blending of flavors. every one enjoyed their dinner too.
An unexpected emergency arose so we were only able to stay long enough for appetizers and cocktails instead of dinner. Granted, it was a busy Saturday night at the restaurant but good service is still expected and generally it's very good at Aria. In this particular instance our group found the server to be aloof, unfriendly, and visibly not pleased in accommodating our need to leave earlier than anticipated. If it weren't for my assurance that this was not typical of Aria servers, I doubt that any of them would give it a second chance.

Great as usual
We dined here before going to the theatre. My husband had one of their fish entrees and had them switch the sides that came with it. Said it was excellent. I had eggplant, Brussels sprouts and arugula salad, all of which were great. The service was excellent and our waiter had us out the door in plenty of time for our show. The only downside was the noise level. It became very crowded and naturally, the conversations around you became noticable, but that's all part of it being a fun vibrant place to go.
Good pre-theatre spot
We went for a pre-theatre dinner. Had a 5:15 reservation and were late, but Aria held our table. We had a lovely meal. Food was good, service was good. Had calamari appetizer (portion could have been bigger - we ended up ordering 2). Lemon drop fizz hit the spot. Daughter asked for an item off menu, which wasn't an issue and much appreciated. She loved it. I had risotto with short rib, very good. Waiter was pleasant but seemed flustered that a big group was seated in his section. Subsequently, he tended to them more than our table of 2. Thankfully, this was after our entrees were served. Had to flag him down to order dessert and ask for the bill. We ordered a cookie with gelato. Baked to order in cast iron skillet. Cookie was overdone, but the gelato was delicious and made up for it. Overall, a good meal. Close to theatre and finished by 7, just in time to make the show!

Great food, excellent server
Aria is one of my favorite restaurants. I love the servers, the bartenders but this time, I had an exceptional server. The receipt said "wolf" so I hope it is the girl who helped us. We were running late for the show we were seeing at Blumenthal. She made sure to take our order quick, and got our three course meal out in no time. She handled herself perfectly, not seeming rushed or anything! This is the top level service I appreciate when going to nice restaurants. Thanks Wolf!
great food, very loud
We went to Aria prior to a show at the Booth Theater with 5 friends. We all enjoyed our meals, the service was great and the location to the theater was perfect. Our only complaint was the it was very loud in the restaurant. We had a very difficult time having a conversation with each other., plus the tables seemed so close to each other.
Tapas (by our own design)
We opted for appetizers and dessert, rather than entrees. Got the caramelized gnocchi, green eggs and ham flatbread, eggplant parmesan and bruschetta sampler. Wife cannot have mushrooms, and several of these included truffle oil, but server was great and arranged for a side of truffle oil that would allow me to use it where desired but without forcing my wife to do so (as it is easy to pick out actual mushrooms, but impossible to eat around drizzled oil). Food was great, and I would go back again without hesitation.
