Food was amazing for bar food and our waitress was great for having to wait on the entire floor (at least it seemed that way to us). No point in making a reservation. They'll stick you at the smallest table possible because there are supposedly other big party reservations coming in later. When did they come in? Who knows. We were the only people eating food and all the larger tables still had the same college kids drinking by the time we left. The hostess told us we could happily go to their sister bar if we weren't happy there. Again, what was the point of having reservations then? At least I got the Open Table points.
Great Place for a Saturday in NYC
Great place to watch a game, grab a quick bite to eat in the neighborhood, and hang out with friends. Was impressed with their burgers and beer list. Will stop by again next time in the area!

The only good thing about this restaurant is the bottomless mimosa special on Saturday and Sunday. I've gone here several times hoping the service was just off that day. But no it's just simply not good - the food is not pleasant and the staff is not very friendly nor sympathetic. Spend your money elsewhere where the manager actually cares about her customers being happy. Will NOT go back!
Good service, good food, good atmosphere

Food and price point were good for endless brunch special. Wait staff was sub par. Not very enthusiastic and not thrilled about refilling drinks. Were accommodating and put the sound on for our bowl game which was nice.

Good food ,staff is friendly and attentive ,plenty of tvs to watch whatever game you are looking for .. big game day make reservations a few days prior.
Delicious food, great service!
We came here for brunch on Sunday (10/25) and we ended up staying all day watching football. The bottomless brunch option was great, the service was even better despite being under staffed, and they had plenty of tvs to watch football all day Sunday. Will definitely come back here!!!
The best bottomless brunch! Did my birth ...
The best bottomless brunch! Did my birthday party here, reservation for 8. They were extremely accommodating, especially during the football game.
Fun Carolina Panthers bar!
Great turnout in enthusiasm for the Carolina Panthers for football games. Huge Panthers crowd and the service was surprisingly great considering the volume of people. Good bar food and a robust beer list We had a blast!
THE bottomless brunch
This has become THE brunch that I take people too when they visit from out of town. It's a reasonably priced bottomless brunch with AMAZING food. I've often remarked that I would pay the bottomless price just for the food. Not stingy either, the service was amazing, as they would refill our mimosas every couple of minutes, I've never had an empty glass here.
Great spot for brunch. Made a reservation on a Saturday and had a great time. Mimosas were flowing freely and we weren't rushed.
Great brunch deal!
One entree and unlimited bloody mary's and mimosas for 2 hours for $29.95!
Typical NYU neighborhood bar
I'm not from New York, and this place was chosen on the recommendation of others. Our reservation was for 20 people total, and at one point we thought we would have to move. Because of another reservation that cancelled/didn't show, we were able to keep our spot for as long as we wanted. The hostess was very accomodating and kind, letting us know of the changes as soon as she received word. The service is a little slow, but that's to be expected in a crowd with very little standing room. The mixed drinks are weak, but the beer selection kept our crowd happy.
Amity Hall good for certain types of groups.
The food and beer choices are extremely good on any given night. And the brunch here is incredible. However, I was very disappointed that I got to the bar an hour and a half before bar trivia and my reservation for 3 people couldn't get us a table on the level where trivia is held. We ended up sitting at the bar, which was just OK.
A really good spot, but the music blared so loud that conversation was just about impossible.
This is bar food. Good Bar food.
Loud, energetic, great for watching games with friends and grabbing wings.
Good food, sensitive to allergy issues
I went here with my brother who has a severe nut allergy. We had notified the staff when I booked the reservation on opentable, and both the hostess and waitress asked us about it when we arrived. The chef also came out twice, first to assure us that his food would be made separately and later to see how things were. There was a good beer selection and we enjoyed the burgers.
Loud beer hall with decent selection of brews , food is OK. Younger crowd lots of noise. Service was good.
If you want loud this is it
if you are looking for over priced, mediocre bar food...please come here. Noise levels so high you'll be spitting on your guests to be heard at your table. Super slow and apathetic service... I am struggling to think of a positive comment to leave. Oh: they have a lot of great TV screens - there you go :)
Brunch = falsely advertised
I booked a reservation here (table for 8) and they had an awesome long wooden bench awaiting us, next to a huge TV screen. But when i got there i learned that the brunch that they advertise NO LONGER EXISTS and i got up and left. manager was unable to attest as to why the brunch menu is on their site, as it is discontinued for a football menu. http://www.amityhallnyc.com/brunchmenu.html (it's a shame i had to walk out -- because that brunch, while non-existent, looks great...)
I chose this pub specifically on a mate's recommendation that it was a great place to watch NFL games. It didn't disappoint. We were upstairs where a mahoosive screen at each end showed local favourites the Jets - unless you're Giants of course. On other, slightly less large, screens arranged around the bar all the other live games were showing. Football overload was the biggest problem as it was hard to know which screen to watch. The service was also excellent. The girl serving us was very attentive, friendly and warm. We got the bucket of chicken. Delicious. We maybe should have heeded the waitress' warning it was a lot of food for two. Gave it our best shot, though.

Perfect for groups. Their service is always amazing and its perfect for bottomless brunch! Food is really good, definitely worth the price.
Excellent Week-Night Out
I came in with a group of 6 friends last Thursday. I had never been to Amity Hall, nor had I heard of it, although I've lived at Hayden and Goddard Hall at NYU, just blocks away. We had " 29 Samantha" as our server, and she was excellent, always attentive and helpful when we were trying to order and figure out what beers we would like. For what is usually a nagging group, all of my friends were very satisfied with everything from the accommodations to the food. We tend of have get-togethers and larger reunions every month or so, and I will definitely try to bring everyone back here.
Fun place good food
Excellent beer selection. good location good prices
Me and my 10 friends won't be back
Reservation for 10, happy that they were able to accommodate such a large group of guests (or so I thought). We were seated in the bar area, which wouldn't have been bad had we all actually fit in the group of tables held for us. It was an awkwardly arranged corner table with another small table that could probably only fit 7 comfortably for dinner. Considering the size of their board/plates you would think they would know how to seat a table. Conversation was impossible due to the extremely loud bad music. Burgers were just okay, fries and fish (of fish and chips) looked like they were cooked in 5 day old oil. Mac was good and by the empty bowls can assume was the most enjoyed dish.
bar and grill
Nice bar and grill to hang out with friends and watch sports. Food was good, love the 5 buds for 20.00
Creative versions of comfort food
Great takes on classics like burgers and chicken wings. Pricey for what seemed to essentially be a college bar. Service was friendly but not supportive of $35 per head for burgers and pizza and only 4 beers on the tab. That being said, amazing beer list and a place I would think would be good to bring out-of-town visitors for a slightly upgraded pub scene.
Very quiet place in a bustling city
I went to New York City for a concert this past summer and went to Amity Hall with my brother who I had not seen in a long time. We were one of the only people in the whole restaurant/bar so we had the chance to catch up in quiet, which was nice. The bar probably livens up more at night time since it's in the middle of the largest city in the United States, but the food was good, the atmosphere was nice, and it was a nice spot to relax.
Great for Brunch
Make your own Bloody Mary Bar! AYCD option. And really stellar brunch options. Try to Breakfast Pizza!
Great Brunch Food + Service
This was our first time at Amity Hall, and we'll definitely be back soon. The brunch menu is limited, but covers enough tastes to offer variety and excitement. We had no trouble being seated (with reservation) upon arrival, and the Bloody Mary bar was enough to inspire a return trip. Serving sizes were huge, food came out quickly but well-prepared, and the crowd wasn't overbearing or obnoxious. So glad we stumbled upon this spot — you can't go wrong with $14 unlimited Mimosas or Bloody Marys + cost of entreé!
Unreal Bloody Mary bar
I took some out-of-town friends here in a search to find the best bloody mary in town. I haven't had much luck since I moved here in September 2012. My goodness, this Bloody Mary bar is amazing! Their house mix is excellent, and they offer three other mixes as well. Tons of items to add in (carrots, celery, pickled okra, horseradish, bacon, beef jerky, string cheese, etc, etc) and it was pretty inexpensive. Got the breakfast pizza - amazing.
I've been to Amity Hall for brunch several times as well as for dinner and drinks. They never fail to provide a great dining experience. Awesome beer list with knowledgeable waitstaff and a delicious menu.
We expected to sit in a dining room, but got a seat at a bar table, the dining room was not open. It was loud & crowded. The food was good, a little expensive, almost $100 for 4 hamburgers & 2 Beers. Wouldn't eat there again. The wait staff was very nice though.
The group here at Amity Hall knows how to take care of its customers. I've been cmoing here for four years with friends and family and they never disappoint! Thanks!
Bottomless mimosas and bloody
Bottomless mimosas and bloody marys can't be beat!
Had a great time at Amity
Had a great time at Amity Hall with my friends. We ordered a whole bunch of appetizers to share. Especially loved the sliders and the poutine. The only time I ever had poutine was in Canada and was so excited to see it the menu! Will definitely be returning for a stuffed burger!
