About 25 Lusk
25 Lusk is a sophisticated, approachable fine dining restaurant specializing in seasonal contemporary American cuisine. All of the original exposed brick and massive timbers are still in place, creating a warm and inviting ambiance while maintaining the building's classic, industrial aesthetic.
The 9,800-square-foot space includes 120 seats in the main dining area, a spacious lower bar and lounge level, 30-35 seats in the private dining area, semi private dining for parties up to 14 people and a community dining table.
Perhaps the most unique element of the 25 Lusk transformations is the open space which allows soaring steel fire orb flues to pass from the main dining level to the lounge below. This design unifies the two-level space while still allowing each level to exist as a distinct venue. 25 Lusk's one-of-a-kind basement level bar and lounge offers a stylish and contemporary setting with an expansive selection of classic and modern cocktails.

Great SOMA find!
I was in town for a convention and had to quickly find a restaurant to take a client on a Friday night and came across this gem! Their downstairs lounge and bar made it a great place to have pre-dinner cocktails and if you can't find the beverage of your choice on this menu, it probably doesn't exist. Dinner was fabulous and I wish I could have had more than one entree (no one wanted to share because they also loved their meals and ate everything) The owner/ GM was extremely helpful in pairing a wine that went with prawns, steak and chops, so well done! It was also refreshing not to be treated like a kick for asking for help and even nicer when the restaurant selects a well priced (moderate) choice when so many others would try and steer you into the most expensive just to raise up the tab! I really appreciated it and the wine was perfect! We will definitely come back but I highly recommend for anyone even outside of work dinner!

I went here with a friend for brunch, and we were really impressed with the service. We sat upstairs, and we didn't feel rushed--great place to catch up with a friend over good coffee. The strawberry pancake was huge, and I liked the omelette we got. The manager was kind enough to offer us some delicious dessert wine. I'd recommend this place for a relaxing brunch where you can actually make reservations!
Yes, this is my favorite restaurant IN THE WORLD.
I do not know how Chef Dolan does it.....the food here literally tastes different and better than any other restaurant I know! A lot of restaurants go through the same modern trends, and tend to flow in similar directions with their ingredients and techniques, but 25 Lusk's offerings somehow taste unique, unexpected and things just completely melt in your mouth. I know this sounds over-the-top, but I truly can't explain how this one kitchen can be so unique. I love this place. The halibut was extraordinary. The crew is flawless, yet chill. The music is perfection.
The food and service at this restaurant have always been very consistent - superb! The menu is ever-changing and fresh, and the bar is perfect for having a pre-dinner cocktail, or a lite bite. I highly recommend this beautiful restaurant.
Food was good but not worth the cost
Very nice ambience, low noise level a relief, nice music, but food not up to the cost. SF offers many places with better value
We celebrated a birthday dinner at Twenty Five Lusk. Started out at the bar downstairs - fun vibes and great drinks. Went upstairs for dinner and had a great time. The staff is superb. All of! the food and wine reccs were on point. Someone in our group is vegan and they were happy to accommodate her requests. Def will return.
YOU MUST GO
In a town known for food, 25 Lusk stands out. Consistently amazing food and service!
Great hidden find
The staff was great, we ended up having a long business meeting here. The staff was kind and patient, the environment was ideal for talking, not too loud. And the food was delicious.
We enjoyed the amazing fluffy pancakes and they were very accommodating to my vegetarian diet. Delicious food, cool and sleek decor. A hidden gem, literally, it's in an alley way.
Amazing Brunch Find
Thank you for an amazing brunch. We were a party of four and thoroughly enjoyed the tuna tartare and the banana appetizer followed by our entrees of grilled octopus Benedict (amazing), swordfish BLT and pork belly. The service was outstanding and it is always so refreshing to have brunch be so satisfying yet a little different. Thank you!!!

Update your website
Our first time to this restaurant and the service was great. We only had the website menu to look at before we went and were disappointed that we couldn't order what we planned to when we arrived because they didn't have it. The menu is pretty pricey and portions did not match price. Great wine list, but pretty pricey as well.

Great food ... Amazing service ... Beautiful ambiance. Need I say more?
I was in town for business and decided to try the place given all of the positive reviews. Well, I was not disappointed. The burrata appetizer was unique and delicious. It had pickled avocados, which really made the dish interesting. The high point was the halibut entree. It had this appropriately hot habanero sauce that perfectly complimented this hearty fish. Best fish I have had other than the black cod at Zuma in Miami. Enjoy this place--you won't be disappointed.

My food portion was very small and not that tasty for how expensive it was.
Good food, terrible service
The restaurant was tasty but the "we won't seat you until everyone is here" policy when the restaurant was more than 50% empty was really not great. Service was incredibly slow for no known reason.
2nd time there is a week !
Unfortunately we were seated right near the bar so it was noisy. The food was good but if you can get into a booth it is a much nicer experience. Service is great and food is really beautifully plated. Fun spot!
Old San Franciscan
25 Lusk should be on your bucket list. Excellent in every aspect of dining. On your plate: a beautiful presentation that transpires to devine on your palette, you'll be talking about it for days after. Wait staff well informed, beyond courteous, and friendly. The owners took an old warehouse, that former friends of ours owned, and transformed it into a beautiful venue. And best of all, well soundproofed, moderate noise to not even noticeable. Venues with in the venue for private parties. I'm telling you, you're gonna love it!

My ladies and I enter here for my birthdays during SF Restaurant week and it was amazing. The service and the food was stunning. We were given complimentary Champagne for my birthday. The staff made me feel extraordinary. The food was Cooked to perfection
Place had great ambience. Felt like being at a Chicago restaurant. Food was ok, was expecting more- maybe it's a restaurant week thing. Gets pretty loud, had to speak over the noise level when having a conversation with someone. Would go here more for the lounge instead of dinner.
I really enjoyed their dine about town menu. Great
great selection, could use more option for dine about town, but overall, wonderful. The pour for the wine pairing is a little light, does not seem like full pours, so don't bother with that. Food was fabulous.
Nice first try!
We were here for SF restaurant week to try things out on a Saturday night. I had the Fall Classic cocktail and he had an Old Fashion-both amazing. The smoky grilled shrimps as main course was impressive, and the pairing wine went perfectly with every course!! We'll be back again.
Great Restaurant Week Date Night
We came to try the restaurant week menu, and I would definitely come back to try the full menu! We shared the entire menu. Started with the tuna tare tare and mushroom ravioli, and they were both really delicious! Next, we had the steak and fried chicken. The chicken is touted as the best fried chicken in SF - not quite sure about that, but it was really good! The deserts were interesting and did not disappoint, we shared a rich brownie and lime posset. It was a great dining experience. Lively ambiance, great server, delicious dinner!

We did the restaurant week menu with added supplements of Caviar and Wagyu beef. However, we were disappointed the Wagyu beef was very chewy and juiceless.
25 Lusk was really good - I ordered the steak. Luckily the server informed me that medium well was really like rare... I ordered the steak medium and it was cooked perfectly! My husband got the pork chop and he really enjoyed it, he thought the seasoning was amazing. There was a cocktail that I absolutely LOVED - in fact, it was my favorite one that I ordered in SF. It was gin, lemon, egg white and rosemary. SO delicious.
Wonderfully diverse menu. Excellent quality. Interesting, tasteful decor.
Creative food near Caltrain and Ball Park
We enjoyed everything on the menu - all creatively prepared and the service was superb. Flavors were really well blended. We enjoyed the sampling of desserts.
All dishes were cold. The fois gras was very poorly cooked despite being sent back. The lamb loin was tough. The service and the manager were kind and apologetic. The place needs a new chef.
Just for party of three or more
Terrific food......but poor seating for party of two. If your a party of two make sure you ask for booth seating!
Steer clear of this over priced restaurant...
These people have packed tables for 2 people so close to each other that be ready to listen to everything the people beside you are saying. Our unfortunate neighbors and my party of 2 ended up so uncomfortable we barely spoke through the two hour ordeal. The menu is complicated and extravagant (if you like simple, this is not your place) the wine list overpriced, and apparently your waiter is the ONLY person in the restaurant that can assist you. Other people go as far as to call your waiter for you... Helpful.... All this for around 300us for 2 people including a bottle of wine.
Great vibe in historic building. Quality ingredients, creative but not overly done menu. Fabulous experience!
For us it missed the mark
We were excited to try this restaurant and brought our friends along. Overall, we felt the service was lacking from sommellier to server. Server uncorked and served the wine, but then failed to check on us, especially after delivery of the entrees..didn't see him until after the plates were cleared. The food was hit and miss, more miss, was the overall opinion of the table. The crudo appetizer was the best thing we tried, yet the fried chicken terrine was a very unbalanced plate - both in texture and taste profiles. In comparison to the other meals we've had in the city, this one ranks subpar.
Outstanding service by the hostess to accommodate a last minute change with a seriously packed place. Great food, cocktails and wine.
I have eaten here twice. Both times the service has been great. The food is good and the interior architecture and design is very cool. The bar downstairs is spacious and you can eat sitting at the bar or one of the many tables in the bar area. There were a lot of people in the bar on a Tuesday night. The location is very convenient to ATT Park. Parking is available at the restaurant and if you are staying after hours there is parking very close by on Townsend. A deck with $20 maximum.
